Online Supervised Play

Elementary Students in classes and clubs who are in one of our Pawns through Rooks groups are encouraged to play in our supervised ChessKid.com matches against other students at their skill level / school in order to practice what they are learning in class.  Participating in our supervised play also gives our teachers valuable insight into the student’s progress and helps identify areas for improvement.  We encourage all our students to participate at least once per week.  Students are paired with similar strength players on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and against students from their school (if possible) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Supervised Play is available Monday – Friday at 5:15pm via the U.S. Chess Center’s ChessKid.com program. Students must sign-in to ChessKid.com with the account provided by the U.S. Chess Center in order to participate in the Supervised Play (you may not use a personal account).

Please contact Justin Swain at lessons@chessctr.org if your student is in a Pawns, Knights, Bishops, or Rooks group and hasn’t received a ChessKid.com login from the U.S. Chess Center or is having any difficulty accessing their account.
