Top Born Before February 1, 1971, if not winning any other prize: $300

Tournament Details:
Five-round Swiss-System Chess Tournament (accelerated pairings used for rounds 1 & 2)
Time Control: G/90;+30 Rounds: Fri 6:00 pm, Sat 10:30 & 5:00, Sun 9:30 & 4:00
One half-point bye OK any round, must commit before round 2
Entry Fee: $99 if received by October 20; $120 later

Blitz tournament: Saturday at 9:30 pm

All game scores belong to the tournament for use in a tournament book
to memorialize GM Sherzer.

Grandmaster Sherzer grew up and played extensively in the mid-Atlantic
area. He was the first U.S. Cadet Champion, twice won the U.S. Junior
Invitational, was U.S. High School Champion, was a recipient of the
Samford Fellowship, and finished second in the world in the Under 18
World Championship and also in the 1992-3 U.S. Championship.

He was one of two International Chess Grandmasters who also was a
Medical Doctor.
