The U.S. Chess Center is pleased to offer a new season of the Potomac Youth Chess League (PYCL), the middle school chess league we ran from 1997 through 2010 and from 2023 until the present. The league is open to all interested middle schools in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
The 2025-2026 season will kick off in in January 2026 and run for six rounds. Matches will be played Saturday afternoons at 4:30 pm ET on lichess.org. Teams consist of four players, not necessarily the same four each match, all registered students in their schools in grades 5-8.

Four players from each school and their coach/sponsor will meet online on the following Saturdays at 4:30 pm ET.
