DC K-5 Championship Tournament

In-person at the Kellogg Conference Hotel in Washington DC, near Gallaudet University.

Open to residents of the District of Columbia in grades K-5.  This is a nationally rated tournament, so players must be members of, or join, the U.S. Chess Federation in order to play.

$25 entry fee.  Registration closes Thursday, May 13 at 3:00 P.M.

This is a 5-round Swiss system tournament.  Players must check in by 9 A.M. and the first round starts at 9:30 A.M.  Time control is game 25 + 5 seconds per move.

The winner earns the right to represent the District in the John D. Rockefeller III National Tournament of Elementary School State Champions later this summer.
