During-School Classes
We work with Title I schools in the District of Columbia to teach chess during school hours as part of the curriculum. In this way, we are better able to reach students who can benefit the most from chess instruction—those students least likely to volunteer for an after-school chess club.
If you are interested in having during-school chess classes at your school, ask your school administrator or teacher to contact us at execdir@chessctr.org.
Otherwise, please consider donating to the U.S. Chess Center to help us reach more schools in this way. Your support will help us offer during-school classes to more Title I DC schools for little to no cost to the school or families.
