DESCRIPTION:Registration now available at dcscholasticchess.org ( http://dcscholasticchess.org ).\nThis qualification event determines who will represent Washington, DC, in the annual Barber Tournament of State Champions ( https://www.barberchess.com/ ) (for middle school students) and the Denker Tournament of State Champions ( https://www.denkerchess.com/ ) (for high school students).\nOpen to DC residents only. This is a nationally rated tournament, so every player must be or become a member of the US Chess Federation and must have proof of COVID vaccination.\nEntry fee: $20.\nThis is a four-round Swiss system tournament.  Time control: Game/25 + 10.  Players should bring clocks if they have them.\nGames start at 1 P.M.  All players must be checked in by 12:30 P.M.\n \n \n
